eau good chandelier at Selfridges

 We have just installed an 'eau good' chandelier in Selfridges cookshop. There are over 100 bottles of water suspended from the ceiling and it gives a magical feel with the refraction of light.

eau good wins best new product at first trade fair

Our new ‘eau good’ filter water bottle won best new product at the Home show at Earls Court. This is the first fair that we have shown it at, so hopefully it will get the same great reaction at the other fairs.

Playsam - with TOP3 for Australia's Contemporary Design Muse

Top3 is one of our best Australian retailers and they are working with playsam to raise money to kickstart Australia's Contemporary Design Museum. Designers and artist from around the world have been invited to customize a plain playsam car. We love the playsam cars and this was a fun project to work on. Our car will be auctioned later in the year and we will update our news section with how much it raises.

Faces in the Wild 2011...plenty more fish in the sea?

For the last four years, we have taken part in Humanscale’s Faces in the Wild auction (the last photo in this link shows previous entries). Artists and designers are asked to contribute a sculpture or piece of artwork which is then auctioned off to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund. We really love taking part in this event as it is a release from the day job and the constraints are very different.
 
Artwork title - “...plenty more fish in the sea?”

The message - International fishing quotas are justified by facts and figures which bamboozle and confuse. The tuna spinning disks represent the dizzying spin that government and fishing industries use to confuse the world from the simple truth which is that we must stop commercial fishing now to stand any chance of the seas recovering.
 
Dimensions – 1m x 1m (3.28ft x 3.28ft)
 
The black and white outline of the fish create an optical illusion which make it look as though the fish are turning. It looks even better in the flesh!
 
The auction takes place in November and we will update this page with how much our design raises.
